It all began when I hit a wall. I had been a part of creating a feature film from the ground up, and we were finally finished. The director turned to me and said ‘Want to see if you can sell it?’ And here we are.

I was so lucky to be surrounded by some incredible friends and colleagues who were so generous with their time and knowledge of our industry. I asked an insane amount of questions, and was always met with answers, help and guidance- genuinely without the kindness of these people, the film (sold) and me, would not be where they are today!

I got thinking- what would I have done without their help, and without this information being ‘readily available’ to me. I hit Google and was met with the digital equivalent of tumbleweed- sure, there’s information out there, but after digesting one website after another, I was left more confused then I was when I initially began my search. Needless to say, I found a gap in our industry.

And so, ‘The Movie Method’ was born! This is my slice of the internet, where I can share everything I’ve learnt with you- the mistakes, the tips, the things I wish I knew, all from my journey into Producing in the Film & TV industry. I think we’re responsible for changing the industry we work in, and I believe a lot of people see the Film industry as a competitive, closed, ‘dog eat dog’ world- I think it’s time for a change. Why don’t we build an industry we’re proud of? One which builds one another up, shares information, grows together- where if one of us ‘wins’, we all do!

That is my ethos and intention behind everything I do with this company- to open doors for others, that I have managed to get a foot into, in the hope that they will then hold open the door for the person behind them.
