Green Grass is a short coming-of-age film following Declan, a disinterested University student, as he starts to question his long-hidden identity
when he is paired with Claire, the class's new member. It is a story about identity and belonging, seen through the eyes of two deaf teenagers.
Sustainability is at the heart of our story. It may be about two teenagers navigating their identities as young deaf adults, but
one of those characters, Claire, is a stout conservationist, and exhibits a constant green approach; she refuses to let Declan
litter, she cares deeply about their seagrass project, she rides a bike, and works harder than anyone to pursue a career in
Marine Biology. In a subtle B-story, Declan learns to be more respectful of nature, inspired by Claire to take an interest.
